The ability of road transport to move people and goods efficiently, particularly within cities, has fallen to a low level because of congestion.

  • Roads are congested, broken and dangerous

  • Public transport is over-priced, over-burdened and in a mess

  • The atmosphere is thick with exhaust fumes, polluted with carbon and monoxide and other dangerous poisons and affected by ozone layer problems, related to global warming, and restrictions are being imposed on road traffic to try to reduce the pollution from each vehicle

  • People are stressed, turning to violence and stupidity in outbursts of road rage and protesting, as passengers and customers of inefficient, slow and expensive public transport

But still, the car remains the preferred option and practical choice for most people and will remain so until something better is offered...

These are the symptoms of a transport system that has failed.

    What do people really want?
