    Freight Transport
The transport industry will be greatly affected. Freight will be able to be moved in small (atomic), one or two pallet consignments, quickly, securely and at low cost. It will be possible to distribute products directly from manufacturer or importer to retailers or, other customers, without going through bulk warehousing. This both speeds-up, and reduces the costs, of the distribution process. This changeover will remove a large proportion of goods vehicles from the roads reducing pollution, congestion and road maintenance costs. It will be many years before the BiWay system is fully operational and many goods will not be suitable for this system. The changeover therefore, should not be too traumatic for the industry.

    Passenger Transport
The effects on airlines, railways, bus companies, taxis, car manufacturers, the oil companies and will be huge. Most short haul air travel will be replaced, with great savings of noise and CO2 emissions. Rail travel will be less affected but both commuting, and intercity rail travel, will be reduced. Bus and taxi services will be reorganised around the new system feeding passengers to it. Car manufacturers will change to building these vehicles in place of most conventional cars.

    Construction Industry
There will be a large decrease in the need for road maintenance, and no more motorways will be required. This reduction in construction work will be compensated for somewhat during the BiWay building phase, but overall there will be a significant downsizing.

    Housing
As commuting for one hour seems to be acceptable, BiWay will enable people to live much greater distances from their place of work. This could revolutionise the housing market; decreasing inner city demand and increasing it up to about 100 miles out.

    General
Those who see dangers to themselves may be obstructive. Hopefully, most may see this system more as a business opportunity rather than a threat.
