In volume production, the vehicles should cost about the same as current medium/small cars. Track construction cost will be very much less than that of conventional roadway, being a matter of erecting support columns and then lifting light pre-fabricated track sections into place. Maintenance costs will be minimal as the only track contact and therefore wear will be of the easily replaced power pick-up. Use of 'Glass Bridge' technology may give a structure life of 150 years with minimal maintenance.
