BiWay routing |

An adaptive routing technique will direct vehicles to their destinations, taking account of impending track loading, using the most cost efficient or fastest route as requested.
As each dividing junction, or node, is approached, routes ahead are checked to select the one best leading to the destination, taking account of predicted track loading, status and the routing type requested.
This is similar in principle to the internet IP protocol.
